To the NYC-based Fashion Elite, L.A. Fashion Week can sound like an oxymoron of sorts. But for the last few seasons, we've enjoyed Idol Radec from SoCal's Scott Barclay, David Hickman, and Nick Barclay, who showed their S/S 2009 collection last night. The trio favor sporty basics, reminiscent of J.Crew and Ralph Lauren; for spring, they featured smart suiting and precise separates, like the covered-placket topcoat pictured. Their fans have been quietly lining up on both coasts for some time now: James Franco wore the line to a Letterman spot late this summer, and selections from the fall line are currently stocked at Fred Segal as well as Oak, one of the most quintessentially New York of New York shops.
